Le petit Ivan

[ F ] Les contes merveilleux russes sont composés dans un style imagé propre à la tradition orale. Il existe plusieurs variantes de l’histoire du Petit Ivan et de sa rencontre avec Baba-Yaga. 

 

Cette adaptation libre est l’œuvre de Niki Orfanou. Il s’agit de l’un des quatre contes russes qu’elle a remaniés pour l’exposition Once Upon a Time in Russia, qui s’est tenue à Saint-Pétersbourg en 2016. Dans l’une des versions connues du récit, la sorcière Baba-Yaga mange ses propres filles plutôt que son corbeau.

 

[ E ] Russian fairytales are composed in an imaginative style proper to the oral tradition. There are several variants of the story of Little Ivan and his encounter with Baba-Yaga.

 

This free adaptation is the work of Niki Orfanou. It is one of four Russian stories she worked on for the exhibition Once Upon a Time in Russia, that was held in St. Petersburg in 2016. In one of the versions of the tale, the witch, Baba-Yaga, eats her own daughters rather than her raven.
